Simple 3 Step Process
-
Prepare Surface
Clean and prep the surface for proper adhesion.
-
Apply Coating
Apply base and coating layers evenly.
-
Broadcast & Seal
Add flakes or quartz and finish with a protective topcoat.
Surface Preparation
Clean the surface thoroughly using StoneLuxe 500 Industrial Cleaner and a deck brush to remove dirt, grease, and contaminants. Allow the surface to dry completely before proceeding with any applications.
If the surface was previously painted, you MUST etch it prior to properly prepare.
Primer
Apply a medium coat of StoneLuxe 500 2-part epoxy primer to improve adhesion. Let it dry for 1-2 hours or until touch dry. (Optional for concrete)
Base Coat
Apply one thin to medium coat evenly using a solvent resistant roller.
Broadcast
(SPIKED SHOES ARE A MUST) Distribute chips or quarts evenly across the surface while the coating is active (within 1 hour).
Cure
Allow the coating to dry for approximately 24 hours before removing excess material.
Clean Surface
Sweep away excess flakes using a bristle broom or metal shovel.
Final Coat
Apply 1 medium coat of StoneLuxe 500 Polyaspartic 2-part clear using a fine, knapp, solvent-resistant roller.
